The La Villa School of Arts is dedicated to prepare its students by ensuring the adequate yearly progress in core academics to best suit the first-class academic and pre-professional arts syllabus at the high school level; to cherish the erudite life-long supporters of arts and to provide in-school and out-school prospects that boost creativity, aesthetic and key thinking skills, self discipline, leadership, harmony and an appreciation for diversity.

With a faculty of experts specially chosen for this school, La Villa’s magnet program is designed for both novice and advanced students with a sincere dedication to studying the arts. Advance training and experience are not mandatory for selection. The school offers a full academic program at gifted, advanced, standard and ESE levels. Students study all academic courses compulsory in middle school and have two extra periods of arts instruction daily.

La Villa School of the Arts is the only middle magnet school of the arts in Duval County. Its pioneering arts program challenges students to gain a high-class artistic performance and academic distinction. Student life at La Villa includes attending plays, concert and visual arts exhibits. Highly qualified professionals of arts join the program by providing master classes and working with students in innovative ways. Students create, perform and analyze their selected art fields, learn critical thinking skills required for success in any selected field of study.
