Dear Sirs,

My name is Eugenia A. Shkuta. I am the principal of state secondary school №78, Krasnodar, Russia. Our school is a traditional for Russia educational institution with a stable and highly professional teaching stuff. We offer education for children from 7 to 17.
The region our school is situated in is well-known in all business spheres and not without reasons Krasnodar Region (Sochi) was chosen for 2014 Winter Olympics!

Our region is in Russia’s top-10 list of areas with the highest level of students graduated from universities and colleges

Due to advanced development of our region’s position in the world our school has come to a decision to start a new program – Foreign Affairs.

The development of international relations will undoubtedly contribute to the broadening of possibilities for children and teachers of English to communicate with native speakers. We expect this communication to grow into deeper studies of history, culture, traditions, and everyday life of the nations studying in our friendly schools. This type of contact with our friendly schools will provide the practice in sphere of Foreign Affairs and will form the understanding of foreign culture.
The goals for the program “Foreign Affairs”:
- To advance the level of students in foreign language speaking;
- To stimulate the interest of students in communicational skills;
- To stimulate students to reach success in educational programs held within different projects of “Foreign Affairs” program;
- To have an exchange between teachers of friendly schools in spheres of communicative skills with native speakers, methodology and practical teaching;
- To have an exchange between principals and stuff in managing spheres;
- To provide the growth of popularity of schools in the community and among students and parents;

Planned methods of communications with foreign school:
The interrelations of teaching stuff of Krasnodar school № 78 and a foreign school appear to be an effective tool for “public diplomacy”.
In this sense, public diplomacy includes such activities as educational exchange programs for teachers and students; visitor programs; language training; cultural events and exchanges;
We offer the following:
1.	For a friendly school our school № 78 will organize the insight on Krasnodar Region (culture, traditions, educational possibilities e.tc.)
2.	Visitors programs
3.	Carrying out contests and competitions in different spheres:
- essays;
- drawing;
- pictures;
- multimedia presentations (of school, city, area)
- in geography;
- in literature;
- music e.tc.
4. Carrying out of “open lessons”, video conferences, on-line tests for Krasnodar students in English 9by the means of Internet technologies);
5. The exchange of souvenirs during Christmas (and other) holydays;
6. Seminars for teachers and stuff of our schools;
7. Correspondence by E-mail between classes;
8. Tourism;

If your school is interested in cooperation with us please contact us e.zarechneva@mail.ru

Respectfully Yours,
Eugenia A. Shkuta
